Position Summary:
The People & Culture Business Partner (P&C BP) is a key strategic partner to factory leadership in driving human capital strategies that support business performance and workforce engagement. This role operates at the intersection of business and HR, providing frontline support to department heads and line managers in resolving people matters, cultivating a high-performance culture, and enabling the development of talent across the site. The role covers both strategic partnership and operational HR delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Advisory & Business Partnership
- Provide timely and effective HR guidance and solutions to department heads and line managers on a wide range of people-related matters including workforce planning, performance management, development, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with HR sub-functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits) to deliver integrated HR support that meets business needs.
- Act as the voice of the business within HR and ensure alignment between people strategies and operational objectives.
2. Performance Culture Advocacy
- Promote and role-model a performance-driven culture by partnering with leaders to set clear performance expectations and drive accountability.
- Facilitate discussions with managers to differentiate talent and performance levels, ensuring fair and consistent recognition, development, or remediation actions.
- Support and guide leaders through the full performance management cycle, from goal setting to reviews.
3. Talent & Organisational Development
- Apply organisational development frameworks such as talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce planning to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
- Partner with L&D and OD teams to identify development needs and recommend targeted learning interventions aligned with both individual aspirations and business strategy.
- Engage with high-potential employees and critical talent to ensure ongoing growth, development, and retention.
4. Culture Enablement & Coaching
- Coach and guide employees and managers in aligning behaviours with the company’s values and desired culture.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, and team effectiveness.
- Act as a cultural steward, ensuring policies, programs, and actions reflect and reinforce organisational values.
5. Employee Relations & Case Management
- Manage and monitor employee relations issues such as misconduct, disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflicts with objectivity and compliance.
- Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of people issues, escalating complex or sensitive cases in collaboration with legal or senior HR colleagues.
- Promote fair treatment and adherence to internal policies and local employment legislation.
6. Recruitment & Workforce Planning Support
- Advise department heads and line managers on hiring strategies and workforce solutions to address open positions and future skills needs.
- Act as a partner to the recruitment team in identifying talent gaps, refining job requirements, and supporting interviews and selection processes.
- Contribute to onboarding and early talent integration to enhance new hire experience and retention.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business, Psychology, or a related field. HR certification is an added advantage.
- 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or generalist role in a manufacturing or high-volume operational setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and people management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled in coaching, conflict resolution, and change management.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in managing sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics is an advantage.
