Student Worker - Group Legal

Are you ready to apply your academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, gain industry experience, and build an invaluable network of talented colleagues throughout ECCO?

An exciting opportunity as a Student Worker awaits you in ECCO’s Group Legal team!

A student worker job is an invaluable stepping stone for personal and professional development and it is important that you choose the best place for you to have practical experience.

As a Student Worker in ECCO’s Group Legal team, you'll dive into the dynamic world of global contracts! You'll handle legal reviews and negotiate contracts across diverse areas like Procurement, IT, Real Estate, Sales, Compliance, and more, ensuring ECCO’s smooth global operations.

That’s not all—you will also assist on various compliance tasks, such as assessing how new regulation will affect ECCO. Additionally, you’ll support M&A projects and other corporate matters, while also assisting with various ad hoc tasks for the Group Legal team.

We expect that you will be working 10 hours per week, except for exam periods, as we want to allow you to balance your studies while contributing to exciting legal projects. We offer flexible working arrangements, combining hybrid work with at least one onsite day per week in our HQ in Bredebro. Since some tasks will be done remotely, it’s essential that you are able to work independently.

What do we expect from you?
Your tasks will include:

  • Propose contract drafting.
  • Review and negotiation of various types of simple contracts that ECCO enters into on a global scale.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, support M&A projects and update templates.
  • Monitor current and upcoming legislation, including preparing internal legal memorandums related hereto.

Who are we looking for?
It is mandatory that you:

  • Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Law, Business Law or other relevant field, with a minimum of 1 year of Education completed (but preferably more).

We imagine that you:

  • Have some familiarity with Company Law, Commercial Law, Contract Law, or similar areas; while this is a plus, it’s not a requirement. The only thing we ask is that you’re passionate about the field!
  • Are able to write and speak English fluently; and fluency in Danish is a plus.

Furthermore, you:

  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Have excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Are diligent, reliable and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently when working from home.
  • Thrive managing project-oriented tasks.
  • Are curious and eager to learn more from different areas and tasks within Group Legal.
  • Are interested in global organizations.

Are you up for the challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
