Software Engineer - power production lines with your solutions
Do you want to see your code run live on production lines around the world? And are you ready to work hands-on with both software and hardware, sensors and servos, as you design, test and commission automation solutions?
Then join our constant pursuit of innovation in a team where different perspectives are not only welcomed but expected – and where asking the right questions matters just as much as finding the right answers.
Develop the software that keeps our production running
Your new team consists of 4 people: 3 engineers and another software developer. Here, we develop the software system for production execution in collaboration with the 21 other colleagues in the department, who are engineers, technicians, CAD constructors and process experts.
An innovative mindset is the cornerstone of our common culture – our mantra being that if a solution does not exist, we develop it ourselves. We value our different points of view and encourage each other to keep a critical eye on our processes and shifting priorities.
You’ll be involved throughout the entire process – from development and commissioning to testing and documentation. In this constantly curious environment, you will:
- Design control concepts and write hardware and software specifications
- Program PLCs for automated production systems
- Program industrial robots and integrate sensors into the production setup
- Test and commission solutions at ECCO's production sites
- Document your solutions and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
Engineer with a passion for automation and hands-on control systems
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by seeing your work in action on the factory floor. Along the way, you are eager to learn complex tools and systems and are highly motivated to develop smart, efficient solutions.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- Hold a technical degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- Have hands-on experience with PLCs (Beckhoff and Siemens), robot control (ABB), and sensor-based automation
- Are confident in electrical troubleshooting and controlling hardware like robots and actuators
- Can program in Python, Java or C++ – and develop smart control algorithms
Join an innovative environment
On a daily basis, you and the rest of the team will face issues that do not have a straight answer. Yet. This will give you the exciting opportunity to leave your mark on the final solution in an environment where we apply research and implement new technologies. All in with the goal of maintaining our excellence when it comes to producing iconic footwear.
Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
