Are you a legal professional who thrives on translating complex regulation into practical business impact?
You’ll join ECCO as Senior Corporate Legal Counsel to work close to the commercial frontlines where contracts shape partnerships and compliance builds trust. In this role, you’ll be a key legal advisor to our Global Sales organisation, supporting both B2B and B2C relations across markets. From negotiating strategic agreements to navigating consumer law and competition compliance, your work will help ECCO grow responsibly.
You’re a legal partner to Global Sales with a commercial edge
As a trusted advisor to Global Sales, you’ll guide ECCO through legal challenges and opportunities. The role places you at the intersection of law and commerce. You’ll work closely with regional sales teams, e-commerce leaders, and compliance colleagues to ensure ECCO’s global sales activities are legally sound and commercially smart.
You’ll be involved in drafting and negotiating agreements with major platforms like Amazon and Zalando, as well as franchise and distribution partners. You’ll also help shape ECCO’s consumer-facing terms and handle complex claims that go beyond customer care. Further, you will get access to Harvey, ECCO’s AI legal assistant.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact
- Lead legal support for global sales contracts, including franchise, shop-in-shop, distribution, and marketplace agreements.
- Ensure ECCO’s consumer terms and website content meet legal requirements - working closely with our Compliance function.
- Handle complex consumer law claims and advise on regulatory risks.
- Stay on top of legal developments and translate them into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
- Deliver training and support on competition and consumer law across the organisation.
We value work-life balance and trust our people to find the rhythm that works best. Therefore, flexibility options can be discussed and agreed with your manager.
You think commercially and act proactively
We’re looking for someone who’s not just legally sharp, but also commercially attuned and culturally aware. You’ll be advising across regions, so the ability to tailor your guidance to different markets and business models is key.
We imagine your background includes:
- A Master of Law or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial and consumer law, ideally from a law firm or international company.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills, paired with a solution-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
- A track record of delivering high-quality work on time
- Experience as in-house counsel is a plus, but not essential.
