Senior Designer - Women Team

Design the footprints of tomorrow
At our HQ in Tønder, you will play a key role in designing our women’s formal footwear collections.

You will work closely with color & material designers, 3D artist, our commercial team, and product developers in Europe and Asia. Your goal is to ensure that every design detail – from the perfect sole to the overall silhouette and female details – aligns with ECCO’s vision and the market’s needs.

More specifically, you will:

  • Research trends, develop creative concepts, and translate them into commercial footwear designs 
  • Create prototypes (including soles and uppers) with our technical team and 3D artists ensuring they are technically feasible, made for walking and built around comfort and quality Organise your work based on seasonal plans, timelines, and deadlines, ensuring that each design fits within the global ECCO collection
  • Present and optimise designs to key stakeholders, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and cost considerations
  • Mentor junior designers to ensure growth and development of the design team

Experienced designer with an eye for new styles
You are comfortable with change and can quickly adjust your designs – whether that means tweaking a sketch at the last minute or finding a smarter solution with the team. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge, offering feedback to team members junior designers, and helping them refine their work.

We also imagine that you:

  • Have a conceptual design approach and 6+ years of international experience working as a footwear designer
  • Bring experience with formal footwear within the ladies’ segment 
  • Have experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Like to follow new trends and developments and you have the ability to incorporate that into the design work
  • Speak and write English effortlessly – and you have the flexibility to travel to visit fairs and go on inspirational trips but not more than 20 days a year
