Do you want to make a great impact and gain deep insight when you play a key role in assuring the alignment from Design to delivery to a customer? And thus the opportunity to directly impact our business?
And do you thrive in a multicultural organisation, where you interact with your global colleagues on a daily basis – giving you a unique understanding of our core business across borders?
“You will gain a truly centralised role with great impact on our core business when you translate operational status, trends, and needs into understandable and tangible actions to the wider organisation and our top management” says Jacob W. Iwersen, Group Senior Director, S&OP Manager.
Bridging production, supply chain, and market demand on a global scale
At our HQ in Bredebro, Denmark, you will join the Global S&OP team, working alongside 22 dedicated colleagues across Denmark, Canada, and beyond. Our team brings together 7 nationalities, a wide range of experience, and a shared commitment to being the connection between our management and our operations.
As part of a small, focused team within Global S&OP, you and 3 colleagues will ensure alignment with our design, production, factories, shipping, and local demand. Your role will centre on global production and factory alignment – ensuring smooth operations, inventory optimisation, identifying challenges, and making strategic decisions about stock allocation across regions.
Working closely with departments like Branding, R&D, Finance, and Production, you will be part of driving an efficient and well-coordinated Sales and Operations process when you:
- Drive S&OP involvement in production and supply chain matters, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and production capabilities
- Convey data reports and findings into easily understandable and nicely presented presentations to middle and top management to understand the status in sales and operations
- Facilitate alignment with R&D on product launches, managing projects, stakeholders, and timelines
- Oversee regional supply chain follow-ups, including product delays, order execution, and planning principles
- Conduct excellent stakeholder management across timelines, nationalities, cultures, and professional levels with respect and understanding of your colleagues
This role could give you the opportunity to travel and visit local production and factory sites, but currently it is merely an option, not a requirement.
“On the longer term and with the right ambitions and talent, there are good opportunities within ECCO to advance even further” Jacob elaborates.
You are a sublime stakeholder manager....
....and have a good cultural understanding, enabling you to quickly understand your international colleagues and their needs. This way, you can combine your democratic approach with your ability to nudge people to follow your track so that all involved have a sense of issues being handled diplomatically.
We are more focused on hiring a person with the right mindset, rather than someone able to check all the professional boxes below – so we would still very much like to hear from you, if you think this sounds like a great opportunity and can see yourself in some of this:
- An analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Good experience within and understanding of the supply chain – perhaps from a position evolving around planning, demand management or demand planning
- A great data insight – you do not need to be able to build comprehensive reports in Power BI, but we would like you to be able to understand how a report is built and ask the right questions about the basis of the reports
- A solid communicator with an eye for the visual aspect when conducting presentations – as a company born within design, we thrive in visually appealing presentations
Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
