Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to work at our office in Amsterdam. Primary responsibilities include planning QA/UAT test activities, and developing the QA/UAT process. QA is the final gatekeeper to ensure our platforms meet all technical, functional and business requirements. This role requires a combination of skills including team leadership, test planning and hands-on testing when required to support the testing objectives. Other responsibilities include defect tracking, test documentation and frequent interaction and communication with developers, IT, business, project teams and third-party vendors.

Tasks will include; managing support requests, incidents, issues, tickets and business continuity activities to ensure flawless and quality delivery of services to end users. Along with support responsibilities, they will help lead the QA team in supporting efforts for projects, deployments, releases, and test automation.


General Responsibilities

  • Leads requirements & use case/user reviews

  • Provides accurate and justifiable estimates for testing

  • Creates and gains project approval on project test plans

  • Creates and/or oversees the creation and approval of project test cases and QA-related documentation

  • Participates in test case management, defect management from triage and creation to closure

  • Ensures adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards

  • Executes test cases and adheres to test schedules

  • Helps to develop QA standards across platforms

  • Familiar with source code, version management, and code deployment standards and for utilizing this knowledge to ensure that QA processes and procedures for test environments are followed and that the integrity of the various environments are not compromised.

  • Collaborates with team members on all project related testing

  • Coordinates testing with external vendors

  • Strong ability to prioritize work and adjust as needed

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally

  • Work with tech leads to manage support queue for multiple platforms

  • Self-sufficiency in managing work to meet goals and deadlines

Job Experience & Requirements

  • 4 year university degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working with or leading a quality assurance team
  • Previous experience writing test cases and performing tests
  • Familiarity with an CRM, and eCommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with project management and bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • A good understanding of web technologies and iOS and Android hardware
  • Ability to write, read and speak English proficiently 

Preferred competencies

  • Knowledge of Salesforce systems (Commerce, Marketing, Service Clouds)
  • Experience in accessibility is a huge plus
  • Knowledge with Atlassian tools
  • Knowledge of different platforms, such as OMS, PIM, or SAP
