Take ownership of ECCO’s global data compliance framework
You’ll be based either at ECCO’s headquarters in Bredebro, Denmark, or alternatively in our office in Warsaw, Poland. Here, you will join the Data Compliance Office – a highly skilled function that is expanding to meet increasing global demands.
The team works closely with key functions such as Legal, Cybersecurity, Digital & IT, and Business Resilience to ensure ECCO navigates safely within the complex data protection and AI regulatory landscape.
As our new Privacy Technology & Risk Advisor, you will play an active and engaging role in the continued development, implementation and maintenance of ECCO’s data compliance activities. You will as part of the Data Compliance Office act as a bridge between legal requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that frameworks, processes, and practices are embedded throughout the organisation.
Your work will be both strategic and hands-on – from enhancing ECCO’s risk & control framework to ensuring that privacy by design is lived in daily business decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across all parts of ECCO including Legal, Cybersecurity, Digital & IT, and Business Resilience, making data compliance a true cross-functional responsibility.
To bring this to life, you will:
- lead the enhancement of ECCO’s data compliance risk & control framework
- translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical standards and processes
- ensure privacy by design and default are embedded across IT and business operations
- strengthen and support ECCO’s data breach management capabilities and processes
- maintain and improve inventories and mapping of data processing activities, vendors, IT applications, and data flows and general compliance documentation
- conduct risk, impact, and legality assessments that support sound business decisions

In addition, we imagine that you:
- have proven experience implementing or supporting IT security and/or data protection compliance programs on a global scale
- are comfortable with complex IT systems and data flows
- ideally have worked with OneTrust or similar compliance tools
- combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills
- enjoy developing best practices in an evolving regulatory landscape and bringing them alive
