Privacy Advisor

Do you want to play a key role in strengthening and expanding ECCO’s global data compliance program?

And would you like to combine legal insight with practice by turning complex rules into concrete business solutions?

At ECCO, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled and passionate team of privacy and compliance professionals helping the global organization navigate and comply with data protection and AI regulations across the world.

Turn complex rules into practical solutions
You’ll be based at ECCO’s headquarters in Bredebro, Denmark, where innovation meets craftsmanship in a truly international environment. Here, you will join the Data Compliance Office – a highly skilled function that is expanding to meet increasing global demands.

The team works closely with key functions such as Legal, Cybersecurity, Digital & IT, and Business Resilience to ensure ECCO navigates safely within the complex data protection and AI regulatory landscape.

As our new Privacy Advisor, you will take on an active and engaging role in supporting the continued development, implementation and maintenance of ECCO’s data compliance activities. Together with your colleagues in the Data Compliance Office, you will translate complex privacy and AI requirements into solutions that colleagues across the organisation can apply in practice. Over time, we expect you will grow into an expert role, but you will start by learning through hands-on tasks, close teamwork and exposure to real compliance challenges.

Your tasks will include:

  • taking part in shaping and embedding ECCO’s Data Compliance Program step by step throughout the entire global organisation
  • conducting risk, impact and legality assessments of projects, third-parties and processing activities that supports sound business decisions
  • reviewing and drafting data processor agreements
  • reviewing and drafting privacy policies, consent forms etc.
  • assist in managing data subject rights’ requests.
  • assist in managing personal data breaches
  • assist in maintaining and improving inventories and mapping of data processing activities, vendors, IT applications, and data flows and general compliance documentation
  • assist in monitoring the regulatory development globally
  • support the training and awareness activities within the Data Compliance Program

Analytical, collaborative and ready to learn
As a person, you are curious, fast-learning and confident in working with both details and the bigger picture. You enjoy working across functions and cultures, and you bring the persistence needed to support and influence stakeholders on compliance topics.

In addition, we imagine that you:

  • hold a Master of Law or other relevant master’s degree
  • may have up to 2 years of experience, though this is not a requirement
  • have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with many stakeholders
  • are comfortable with technology and eager to explore the digital aspects of compliance
  • are fluent/professional in English; other languages are an advantage

Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.

For additional information, you can reach out to René Overvad Olesen, Head of Data Compliance Office, Group Director, on +45 74 91 17 33.
