Transport Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team.

As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of shipping and delivery and ensuring customer satisfaction by staying in contact and relaying all communications concerning the delivery

In this role you will be in charge of the activities associated with the transportation of products from ECCO warehouse  into customers. Optimize transport planning in the most efficient way for customer and stakeholders

 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with countries' regulations and fiscal regimes;
  • Optimize transport planning in the most efficient way for customer and stakeholders
  • Maintain proper and accurate Pre-Shipment and Post-shipment Administration
  • Communicate and track shipment issues to ensure proper feedback to the carriers (Track and Trace, Proof of Delivery)
  • Monitoring and clarification of damaged shipment issues
  • Handle damage and loss claims
  • Ensure correct estimates in transport planning
  • Coordinate deliveries and changes during delivery
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates to keep costs down where possible
  • maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports
  • Continuously search for additional improvements
  • working closely with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations to deadlines;
  • Respond to client feedback or complaints

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate transport operations
  • Customer and quality orientated
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Proactive approach with strong organisational skills
  • Good communication in English
