Role purpose

We are looking for a detail-oriented, effective, and experienced team lead for our Global IT Service Desk team in Poland. One of your primary roles will be to lead our service desk team in Poland. Motivating, planning and listening to your teams requirements while understanding the business needs is crucial to succeed in this position. Moreover you will coordinate our retail area as well. Your focus will be support of retail between the different teams in Global IT.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the team in order to secure efficiency
  • Resource management and keeping the engagement/job satisfaction on a high level
  • Collaborate and engange with other leads and stakeholders to understand the strategy, initiatives etc. in order to convey the message to your team
  • Focus that the local team is part of the global team ensuring that we all move together as ONE global team
  • Participation in yearly objectives setting and performance reviews (together with your manager)
  • Collaboration and follow up with other IT areas and teams – pulse check
  • Cooperating with teams/external partners on IT projects
  • Quality assurance in terms of the agreed SLA’s
  • Coordinate overall support of retail area between the different teams in Global IT
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand the support needs of the business and communicate this with the relevant teams in IT
  • Understanding the landscape and the solutions for retail area and suggest improvements in collaboration with the retail solution architect
  • Coordinating retail related major incidents and driving/co-driving problem management

     

    Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Relevant experience working in an international company (advantage)
  • Understanding basic computer systems e.g. office 365, hardware/software etc.
  • Experience with retail store solutions (POS application, back office, in-store mobile apps)
  • Experience with MS Dynamics365 POS will be an asset
  • Familiarity with desktop, notebook and handheld devices
  • Ability to analyse complex issues advising team on best practices when/if needed
  • Independent, cooperative, flexible, creative – can engage with stakeholders/employees on all levels
  • Understanding ITIL principles/best practices (advantage)
  • Understanding agile methodologies and practices (advantage)
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders
  • Quality and deadline oriented
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level
