Role purpose:
The Junior Credit Controller supports the Credit Control team in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in finance or credit management, offering hands-on experience in credit control processes and systems. The Junior Credit Controller works closely with senior team members and internal departments to resolve issues and contribute to the team’s performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring customer accounts and following up on overdue payments.
- Perform basic credit checks and support the update of credit limits under supervision.
- Support the dunning process and escalate unresolved issues to senior team members.
- Help resolve customer queries and disputes in coordination with Sales and Customer Service.
- Process customer refunds and assist with direct debit operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data is up to date in SAP.
- Participate in the preparation of ageing reports and other credit-related documentation.
- Collaborate with the Cash Application team to minimize unallocated cash.
- Support manual billing processes ensuring accuracy and timely issuance of invoices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls and ECCO’s Credit Policy
Requirements:
- Some experience in a Credit Control function or similar position (internships or student jobs welcome).
- Experience in working in an international company or SSC serving multiple countries.
- Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Fluent communication skills in English, any additional language will be an asset.
- Quality and deadline oriented.
- Team player with good communication skills.
