Indirect Tax Accounting Controller m/f/x

Role purpose:

Support the global tax team with tax complaint tasks such as VAT/GST returns, Intrastat filings, indirect tax reporting and audit support with the combination of tax technology support to implement SAP DRC for the e-invoice, e-reporting, support with the migration to S4H. Assist in tax process, system configurations, and internal control improvements. Monitor international tax changes and contribute to global compliance initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring changes in business operations and assessing their indirect tax impact
  • Support in the day-to-day collaboration with advisors and review of VAT/GST returns, Intrastat returns, other indirect tax reporting requirements and support with audit query.
  • Contribute to the development of internal controls, process improvements, standard work, and policies for indirect taxes globally.
  • Stay updated on international tax legislative developments and communicate potential impacts to ECCO.
  • Support SAP DRC (e-invoicing/reporting) processes and ongoing improvements
  • Contribute to tax automation and S/4HANA-related initiatives
  • Work closely with Finance, IT, Customs, and external advisors
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in indirect tax / VAT compliance
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Exposure to tax technology, e-invoicing, or digital reporting is a strong advantage
  • Strong interest in indirect tax and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards learning and improvement
  • Analytical and structured approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work across tax and IT domains
