Role purpose
In ECCO, our ambition is to become a data-driven organization. The Business Intelligence Team is realizing this goal. We handle all sorts of data sources and combine them into a single common data platform
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Engineer to join our Data Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering, as well as experience working with large and complex datasets.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines to support our business intelligence and data analysis needs. This will include working with data from a variety of sources, including transactional databases, web APIs, and flat files. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining dataset, dashboards and reports to help our team make data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, etc.)

2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering

Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one BI tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

Experience with DAX and building tabular models in Power BI or similar tools

Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) and experience building data pipelines

Experience working with data from SAP- Sales and distribution module will be a big plus

Experience working with large and complex datasets

Experience with programming languages such as Python is a plus

Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication skills, including fluent English

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
