People & Culture Advisor (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated People & Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture Team in ECCO Europe North in a Maternity Cover position.

The People & Culture Team in ECCO Europe North consist of three People & Culture Advisors and support the local sales organization, who is responsible for Retail and Wholesale operation in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Baltics. The local sales organization consist of different departments; Retail, Wholesale, Merchandise, Marketing, Customer Service and Finance, who are all working together to achieve the same goal - Drive sales in both our own stores and the stores of our wholesale customers.

In your role you will serve as first point of contact to employees and managers for various People related matters. You will be working out of our office in Copenhagen, and together with one of your P&C colleagues you will be responsible for the People operations in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Most of our employees are retail staff, so you will have close interaction with Retail Managers and Store Manager on a daily basis.

What will you do?

  • Handle administrative People and Culture tasks related to all aspects of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding.
  • Provide comprehensive support and advice to managers at all levels on a range of People matters, including hiring of new employees, long time sick leave, maternity leave, reorganizations and corrective measures, which may include warnings or changes in employment status.
  • Support Retail Managers in Denmark, Norway and Sweden in understanding and following regulations and processes according to the local collective agreements.
  • Handle payroll process in a timely and accurate manner in cooperation with external payroll provider by preparing inputs and controlling payroll files.
  • Secure timely reporting to authorities in regards to sick leave, maternity leave, etc. and apply for reimbursement.

What we are looking for in you?

  • Strong experience in HR/People & Culture department, preferably from an international organization.
  • Working knowledge of Danish labour legislation (basic understanding of Swedish or Norwegian labour legislation is a benefit).
  • Fluent Danish and English (ability to understand Swedish/Norwegian is a benefit).
  • Experience with payroll processing in collaboration with an external payroll provider.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams and build positive relationships through excellent interpersonal communication.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in your work while maintaining a high level of precision in all tasks.
