Internship Overview: As an intern in our Leather Goods Design Department, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our talented designers, as well as collaborate with our production team. You will be involved in researching market trends, colors, and styles, and assisting in the creation of leather goods collections exclusive to ECCO Leather B.V. This internship will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the entire design and product development process within the leather goods industry exclusive to ECCO Leather B.V.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and industry insights related to leather goods.
- Assist in the creation of leather goods collections exclusive to ECCO Leather B.V, by contributing to the development of sketches, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Participate in color direction, contributing to the development of color palettes and providing input on color trends and combinations for leather goods collections.
- Collaborate with the design team to translate design concepts into tangible leather goods products, aligning with ECCO's brand aesthetic and quality standards.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of the design and manufacturing process.
- Participate in collection overviews, presentations, and meetings, contributing to the organization and preparation of materials.
- Assist in the creation of visual materials, including mood boards, color palettes, and digital renderings.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to develop and refine design concepts.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Fashion Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Accessories Design, or related fields).
- Strong passion for leather goods design and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
