Internship Overview: As an intern in our Leather Design Studio, you will be exposed to various aspects of the leather design process, from concept development to then see how our wide range of customers turn them into products. You will have the opportunity to develop a personal leather design with our talented design team and contribute to the creation of leather goods that combine functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. By assisting the designers in creating samples that are based on client briefs, interns will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in translating design concepts into tangible leather, while adhering to client specifications and expectations. This aspect of the internship allows interns to contribute to real-world projects and develop a strong understanding of the collaborative nature of the design process within the leather industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching and analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging design concepts.
- Assist the designers to develop innovative leather designs and prototypes based on client briefs and project requirements.
- Support the creation of color palettes, and color cards for the seasons.
- Contribute to the development of design concepts through mood boards.
- Develop and execute your own leather design project, bringing your unique inspiration to life.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Fashion Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or related fields).
- Strong passion for design and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
- Excellent visualization skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
