Does driving strategic improvements in global logistics through performance and cost control sound like your next step?
At ECCO, we are transforming our warehousing operations to becoming a strategic capability. This role plays a key part in that transformation, contributing directly to the development of our global distribution network.
Build a smarter, more strategic logistics setup
ECCO operates around 35 mostly outsourced warehouses. In our new Global Distribution Network department, you’ll help shape a holistic view of our warehousing setup including its cost structures, operational efficiencies, and performance metrics.
You’ll join a dedicated team of four, working closely with colleagues across logistics, finance, and operations. Your focus will be on creating and maintaining reporting structures, driving monthly and quarterly performance reviews, and supporting strategic projects with financial insights and KPI analysis.
Within your first 12 months, success will look like this:
- Established reporting structures for cost and performance reviews.
- Monthly/quarterly reviews implemented across all tier 1 warehouses.
- Roadmap created for tier 2 and potentially tier 3 warehouses.
- Deep understanding of budgets and cost drivers for tier 1 warehouses.
- Clear overview of KPIs and the factors influencing performance.
Expect a role that blends structure with creativity, and analysis with collaboration. You’ll be part of a global organisation that values curiosity, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
Your impact in numbers and narratives
In this role, you’ll:
- Review annual warehouse budgets, including service levels and KPIs.
- Create and maintain the structure and process for performance reviews.
- Develop and manage reporting tools and dashboards.
- Drive and facilitate review sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic projects by providing financial and performance insights.
We know that work-life balance matters. While this role is based in our HQ in Bredebro, some flexibility can be agreed, and you should expect up to 4 weeks of travel annually.
You are a strategic thinker with a logistics mindset
To succeed in this role, you likely have a background in logistics or supply chain, combined with strong analytical capabilities and a structured mindset.
We imagine you bring:
- A relevant education in economics or logistics.
- At least 5 years of experience within logistics or supply chain; a financial background is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Solid skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking and a curious approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with BI tools (ideally Power BI) and advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus.
You turn data into insights, thrive in project-based environments, and navigate confidently across all organisational levels. Fluency in English at a professional working level is required, and international experience is a plus.
We know that not every candidate will tick every box, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can contribute, we encourage you to apply.
