Head of sustainability communication, data and regulation

Head of Sustainability Communication, Data and Regulation

Do you want to use data to drive our sustainability efforts and create engaging, honest communication? Are you ready to lead a new team focused on data, claims, and communication?

Join us in enhancing ECCO's commitment to environmental, social, and governance principles. Make a positive impact with data-driven decisions and inspiring stories that encourage sustainable choices.

You will join a dynamic leadership team that spans compliance and sustainable innovation.

Driving ECCO's data and communication approaches to sustainability is a priority across ECCO. We want to rely on facts and motivate consumers to choose sustainably – with the footprints of tomorrow in mind,” says VP Pia Yasuko Rask.

Set a clear direction for Communication, Data and Regulation on Sustainability
You will be part of a management team of 4 colleagues at our headquarters in Tønder, 2 are based in the Netherlands and 2 in Denmark. Together you work on 'perform, inform, and transform' agendas to set and reach ECCO’s sustainability goals.

Moreover, you manage a team of 4, which you can really impact as 3 of these positions are yet to be filled:

  • 1 senior regulatory change specialist, who tracks regulatory changes and leads the green claims process in close collaboration with Legal and Marketing.
  • 1 sustainability data lead, who handles our data needs in close cooperation with Finance, IT, and data functions.
  • 1 communication and reporting responsible, who creates our annual report and communication in close collaboration with Group Communication and Marketing.
  • 1 senior sales engagement consultant, who makes content for training and other engagement across mainly the sales organisation.

The team bridges the data needs, technical specialists, brand and marketing roles, and facilitate the sharing of our sustainability efforts in an easy and effective way to consumers.

As head of the team, you coach your employees and align the vision for this team with ECCO's sustainability and commercial goals.

Skilled leader with data expertise and business sense
You can envision goals and plan their achievement in stages, focusing on quick delivery while addressing core issues to improve processes. The team will include both specialists and generalists, mobilising resources across the organisation.

We expect you to operate effectively in a complex, global environment with diverse cultures and practices, using your strong stakeholder management skills and data to drive progress across ECCO.

In addition, we imagine that you:

  • Have experience leading diverse teams-
  • Hold a master's degree in political, social or commercial sciences-
  • Have 10+ years of experience, at least 5 years working with complex data and reporting.
  • Have excellent project management skills.
  • Are familiar with sustainability – or at least have a passion for the topic and the ability to understand a fast-changing regulatory environment.

Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
