Are you a marine engineer, an automation technician or similar with a practical, electrical background? And would you like an opportunity to travel, learn and hone your skills, all in the same role?
Then this is your chance to join a group of experienced colleagues. We will take you travelling around the globe as you learn the ropes of our shoe production machinery and how we keep the production running.
“You’ll get to travel to our production sites around the world when we build new or change existing machinery. There’ll be plenty of both mechanical, electrical and software learning opportunities” says Tommy Seested, Global Manager, ECCO Shoe Production Engineering.
Keep our global shoe production running globally
You will join our Shoe Production Engineering team in Bredebro. We are 5 international engineers with different backgrounds and heavy experience. Together, we are responsible for building and maintaining the production machinery at the ECCO production sites in Europe and Asia. We are talking complex machines with robots, servo solutions etc., and we are part of the project all the way from initial budgeting of a new machine until implementation and support.
You will be responsible for supporting our technical projects. To start off, you will travel with experienced colleagues, so you will never be alone on a project. But as you grow in the role, you will gain more responsibility, eventually being able to travel on your own. Typically, you will spend your time in Bredebro preparing for new projects or carrying out remote support, but you will spend a good amount of time (approx. 150 days a year) travelling as you:
- Carry out installation and troubleshooting of electrical control systems, which entails hardware and software work
- Do process-related work, mainly regarding Polyethene injection
- Do pneumatic work and troubleshooting and, to a minor degree, mechanical work
- Work with Omron PLC software
- Provide online or on-site troubleshooting regarding technical problems
Marine engineer or automation technician with a practical, electrical background
As a person, you need to like meeting all kinds of people from different cultures and be tolerant of different ways of working. To start off, we hope you are eager to learn, but with time, you should be comfortable taking on projects and travel on your own. Finally, we imagine that you:
- Are a marine engineer, an automation technician, or similar with a practical, electrical background
- Have practical experience within the automation and electrical area
- May have experience with Omron PLC programming
- Are fluent in English, and it is a plus if you also speak Danish
Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
