How does a global brand sound when it truly knows who it is and where it is going?
At ECCO, words help turn craftsmanship and innovation into relevant, consumer-driven brand experiences worldwide. We are now looking for a Global Brand Copywriter to help define how ECCO speaks, thinks and shows up across every channel, from global campaigns to internal storytelling.
You shape how the ECCO brand comes to life in words
In this senior role, you work at the heart of our global brand set-up, partnering closely with our Global Creative Director and Senior Art Director. You are not here to write everything yourself, but to lead the thinking, set standards and elevate the quality and coherence of brand communication globally.
You act as a creative sparring partner and strategist, shaping tone of voice, narrative frameworks and campaign ideas across marketing, retail, PR, digital and internal communication. With a strong agency mindset, you help move ECCO towards a more integrated, in house creative model, stepping in as a trusted thought partner who translates ambition into clear direction and action. Your work combines big conceptual thinking with hands on creative leadership, always with a clear eye on alignment, clarity and impact.
Your main focus will be to:
- Drive conceptual copy and creative ideation for global, integrated brand campaigns.
- Define, evolve and guard ECCO’s global tone of voice and messaging frameworks.
- Help implement new global communication standards across channels.
- Review, guide and elevate copy and communication across teams rather than writing every asset yourself.
- Collaborate closely with creative, brand, PR, retail and production teams to ensure strong alignment.
You lead consumer driven brand storytelling
You are an experienced brand copywriter who enjoys working at a strategic level while staying close to creative execution. You are curious, confident in your point of view, and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders through ideas rather than hierarchy. You take ownership of your work, are not afraid to test and adjust along the way, and actively build trust and strong working relationships across ECCO as you drive your own projects forward.
We imagine that you:
- Have extensive experience from agencies or global brands, working with integrated campaigns.
- Bring strong conceptual and strategic thinking alongside excellent writing skills.
- Are experienced in defining and scaling tone of voice across multiple channels and markets.
- Thrive in close collaboration with art directors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

You join a growing global brand and creative team based onsite in Copenhagen, currently building new capabilities to strengthen ECCO’s brand communication across all channels. From day one, you are encouraged to take ownership, drive your own projects and actively help set direction. You will work closely with colleagues across functions and geographies, and you can expect occasional travel as part of working in a global brand and marketing set up.
