People Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our team as a People Analyst. This role combines the responsibilities of analyzing workforce data and controlling HR-related costs, including salaries and other people-related expenses. Operating across 20+ diverse European countries, this position offers a unique opportunity to work at scale, uncover cross-market insights, and contribute to impactful, region-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business & financial controlling, Excel superuser skills, and experience with Power BI and Python. The work should lead to reporting that is as relevant as financial reporting and can support People & Culture in being a strategic partner to the business. As a key player in People and Culture, this person will help drive the business toward its ambitious strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data from various sources to provide insights on workforce trends, employee performance & engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain, and build Power BI reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of People data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to provide comprehensive insights into organizational performance.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of employee initiatives.
  • Ensure that reporting is as relevant as financial reporting and supports HR in being a strategic partner to the business.
  • Develop and track key People metrics measure progress against strategic objectives.
  • Analyze qualitative data from engagement surveys and exit interviews to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Adapt reporting and analysis to support the phased implementation of People initiatives, ensuring insights evolve with each strategic phase.

People Cost Control:

  • Monitor and control People-related costs, including salaries, benefits, and other employee-related expenses.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize People budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to HR expenditures and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

Budgeting:

  • Participate in the development and management of people budgets across Europe.
  • Collaborate with finance and People & Culture teams to forecast and allocate resources effectively.
  • Monitor budget adherence and provide regular updates to senior management.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and execute strategic People plans.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support workforce planning and talent management.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to support the business in reaching its ambitious goals.
  • Support organizational design efforts by analyzing spans of control, role clarity, and capability gaps across markets.
  • Collaborate with local People & Culture teams, finance, and business leaders to ensure alignment of people analytics with market-specific needs and strategic goals.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in people analytics, data analysis, financial controlling, and Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in HRIS, data visualization tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation is required
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across People & Culture, finance, and business functions.
  • Understanding of how people data connects to broader business goals such as cost reduction, productivity, and long-term competitiveness.
  • Experience working across diverse European markets, with the ability to tailor insights and recommendations to local contexts and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
