ECCO is looking for a tech-savvy, data-driven professional to take our finance reporting and analytics capabilities to the next level. In this newly shaped role, your main responsibility will be to design, build, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards and data models that provide real-time business insights across our European operations.
You will be the go-to person for transforming data into actionable intelligence, collaborating closely with finance, commercial, and operational teams to support strategic decision-making through scalable, automated reporting solutions.
This is not a traditional business controlling role. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes Power BI and is passionate about enabling data-driven decisions. You will report to the Head of Business Control and collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT, Accounting, and Group-level data teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain intuitive Power BI dashboards and data models to support cross-functional business needs.
- Collect and transform data from multiple systems (ERP, CRM, POS, etc.) into insightful visualizations.
- Drive automation and standardization of recurring reporting tasks.
- Proactively identify data quality issues and propose technical solutions to enhance reliability and usability.
- Act as a key liaison between business users and data teams to ensure optimal data structure, accessibility, and understanding.
- Train and support business users in navigating dashboards and interpreting reports.
- Partner with finance and commercial teams to embed data analytics into forecasting, sales tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial or performance analyses, leveraging advanced data techniques (forecasting, scenario modeling, etc.).
The Right Candidate
- Proven expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and visual design.
- Strong data transformation skills (Power Query, SQL) and experience working with complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on business impact and usability.
- Passionate about automation, efficiency, and clean design.
- Comfortable collaborating across functions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or SAP is a plus.
- Background in finance, controlling, or business analysis is a big asset.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
