Senior QA Engineer

Would you like to join a brand new team and be the front-runner on quality in our digital transformation that is backed by the very top of the company?

We are moving to a MACH architecture for our e-commerce platforms to capitalise on composable commerce. This will enable us to provide digital experiences that truly delight our customers, allowing us to create value for the business.

In this role, you’ll facilitate best practice on automated testing. And you’ll be the one to ensure that testing and quality are factors from the very beginning of the software development life cycle” says IT Development Director Paul Harris.

Establish test automation and ensure high quality
In Global IT, you will be part of our new team Digital Development, which we are in the process of building. Currently, we have 12 colleagues in Denmark, Russia, the US and Poland, and once the team is complete, you will have 20 highly experienced front- and backend software engineers and a scrum master as your new colleagues.

In this particular role, as primarily an automation tester, you will be responsible for establishing test automation in a distributed environment. This entails building automated testing frameworks, writing entire new automation test suites and generally setting the foundations for solid test automation practices in the future to enable continuous delivery.

Working in close cooperation with software engineers, other testers and your team during automation test development to ensure quality from the very beginning of the feature life cycle, you will:

  • Plan, write and maintain Web UI and API automated tests
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies
  • Be in charge of test management
  • Share knowledge with other automated testers in the wider organisation

Experience with automated testing from a similar role
In this role, the balance between technical aspects, attention to detail and creating business value is critical, always keeping the latter top of mind. Also, you must enjoy collaboration in order for you to maintain the test scripts with your colleagues. Moreover, you:

  • Have some years of experience from a similar position with automated testing and building an automated testing framework
  • Have knowledge of good automation practices and techniques as well as experience with the creation and maintenance of automation tests
  • Have worked with both Web UI and API testing as well as incorporating tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Are willing to carry out manual exploratory testing to complement the automated test suite, and you are ready to work with Jira, Confluence and Miro in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
  • Are fluent in English

Join us at an exciting time
When you join ECCO, you become part of a global family where we value people who do things differently. We improve the products and industry constantly by pushing forward with new techniques.

Work is already well underway on delivering the new platform and the stunning new websites for our local markets around the globe. But now, as we scale up, you will truly have the opportunity to be a front-runner within your field and make your mark on quality and testing during our digital transformation.

Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply.
