Senior Cybersecurity Architect

At ECCO, we have embarked on an exciting IT journey with transformational programmes, delivering top-notch, solid and secure digital platforms.
Would you like a central role in bringing your colleagues along on this journey? You will get to drive the initiatives, impact our strategy and make decisions on the architecture and design as you advise and guide our team towards state-of-the-art security.
“Our journey is moving from good to great. It has been underway for a while, and security is a strong focal point in ECCO. We are ready to raise the bar, making everyone think of security first in a natural way,” says Head of Infrastructure, Operations & Cybersecurity, Aleandro Carniel.
      Job Profile:
As our Senior Cybersecurity Architect, you will join the Global Infrastructure & Operations department, reporting directly to Aleandro. Here, you will meet a team of 40+ highly skilled and ambitious colleagues who design, develop and maintain our core and global digital infrastructure in the full value chain.
You will be responsible for security stack evolution, modernising, improving effectiveness and efficiency by bringing industry best practices and discipline, fostering data-driven decision-making. You will do so by developing and maintaining a security architecture process. This process will enable the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat drivers.
          Specifically, you will:
          • Develop security strategy plans and road maps based on sound enterprise architecture practices
          • Conduct vulnerability assessments and other security reviews of systems and prioritise remediation based on the risk profile of the asset and guidance from the Head of I&O and Cybersecurity
          • Lead and/or coordinate penetration testing and other "red" team exercises as directed by the Security Officer or Head of I&O and Cybersecurity.
“Security teams are often seen as police officers, but not us. We involve our colleagues in our decisions, building security together. That also means your challenge will be to get involved with the different business areas in a dynamic manufacturing and retail environments. It’s actually one of the challenges that motivates me in my everyday work at ECCO,” explains Aleandro.
          Qualifications and Work Experience:
As a person, you have a passion for technology and how it can deliver business solutions. You are able to interact, collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, knowing that we succeed through team effort. Being interested in emerging technologies and innovation, you can provide technology leadership, delivering high-quality, creative and insightful technology advice. Moreover, we imagine that you:
          • May hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, e.g. within computer science, combined with 10+ years of experience within IT security architecture, giving you a solid network and IT security background.
          • Have experience with GDPR and privacy principles (best practices)
          • Have experience with architecture methodologies such as SABSA, Zachman and/or TOGAF
          • Have direct, hands-on experience or a strong working knowledge of vulnerability management tools, monitoring as well as IT service management (e.g. ITIL-related disciplines)
          • Are fluent in English
          We offer:
At ECCO, career development is a priority – and important to our success. We invest in our people. Your continued personal and professional development is essential to us and we offer participation in internal and external courses, vendor specific educations and conferences supporting this development.
