Junior Quality Manager - Tonder

Would you like a role where you will represent the voice of the customer while balancing consumer needs with manufacturing efficiencies?

Then join us and take your first career step into the exciting world of shoemaking while you handle quality issues and claims processing in ECCO.

The best part of this position is that you see the issues from the market and consumer point of view and utilise this knowledge to improve the product – and at the end, you get to measure the actual success of your efforts” says David Thorpe, Director PD, Lifestyle & Performance and QA.

Become part of a consumer-driven QA team
Based in our Global HQ in Tønder, together with the QA manager, you will be focusing on optimising the look, touch and feel of our products. This means that you will collaborate with a wide array of players, from consumers on our social media channels to your colleagues from Design, Category Management, Product Development and Manufacturing. Here, we share learnings, market insights and opportunities on a regular basis.

In short, you will:

  • Handle quality issues and claims processing as well as maintain and publish KPI reporting
  • Participate in product audits as well as report preparation and publication
  • Collect and consolidate data e.g., from product audits
  • Support the team in all daily business and practical matters

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to travel approximately 14 days a year, primarily performing audits at our distribution centre in Poland or visiting factories to learn more about our manufacturing.

A curious and inquisitive approach with a desire to learn
First and foremost, you have a solutions-oriented mindset and a passion about contributing to and learning from our collaborative culture and ways of working.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have a relevant degree – you can both be a recent graduate or have some years of experience from a similar role
  • Are proficient in the MS Office suite
  • Preferably bring knowledge of Power BI and PLM systems – otherwise, we will teach you
  • Speak and write English fluently

A position with room to grow
This position offers you the chance to truly grow and develop within the role. Moreover, you will be joining a still evolving team, which you can impact and shape. And stepping into our global organisation, you have access to an abundance of further career opportunities, should you in time wish to move on to a different function – or location.

Are you ready for your next challenge?
We will invite candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply. For additional information, you can reach out to David Thorpe, Director PD, Lifestyle & Performance and QA at +45 2143 5493.
