Do you have an interest in Azure? And would you like to help us build a new, modern data platform using the leading tools and architectures?
“We invite you to become part of an exciting journey in, what I think is, an amazing international company. I promise you that no two days are alike, and there are always new challenges and technologies waiting to be explored, giving you the opportunity to speed up your professional development,” says Rúben Salvador, Head of Group Business Intelligence.
TRANSLATE BUSINESS NEEDS INTO TECHNICAL LANGUAGE
You will become part of a cross-functional team of 7 dedicated BI specialists, coming from 5 different nationalities that collaborate across 4 world locations (Denmark, Portugal, Russia and the US). Together we are part of the ECCO endeavour to improve data utilization and transform into a Cloud Data Lakehouse using Azure, Databricks, and Power BI.
As a BI data developer, you will get to play an important role in this journey we are on. Collaborating with colleagues throughout our business, you will work with data in multiple phases from transformation to end usage, and touch different data, from Finance to Production, to Logistics or HR, and be in contact with Retail and Wholesale areas: In this way, you will be covering the entire ECCO business value chain. Doing so, some of your tasks will include:
- Scoping and mapping out business requirements
- Designing, developing and testing ETL/ELTs
- Designing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Testing new functions in Power BI
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising Azure solutions
- Assisting with end-user training
EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT AZURE
You have a DevOps mindset, strong technical skills and broad knowledge of existing solutions. With your shrewd business sense, you also understand that the user experience is essential to extracting the full value from data. Therefore, it is important that you know how to navigate within our business and that you can pinpoint and translate business needs into technical language.
Moreover, we expect you to bring:
- A few years of experience as a BI developer, BI consultant or data developer/engineer
- Experience within the Microsoft Azure technology stack – and you know your way around SQL and/or DAX (Power BI)
- Experience with SAP is an advantage
- An outgoing personality and a sense of team spirit
- Great communications skills, mastering English in speech and writing
SUPPORTIVE COLLEAGUES WITH A PASSION FOR DATA
We cannot wait to get to know you, because even though we may not physically sit next to each other every day, we are a social bunch who keep in close contact.
Also, you can look forward to stepping into an environment not only centred on development but also on learning, giving you the opportunity to continually gain new knowledge and try new things.
