Would you like to build ECCO’s outdoor category from the ground up and turn insight into impact?
Whether you bring senior-level experience or are ready to take the next step in your career, this is your chance to play a strategic role in shaping ECCO’s outdoor category using data and consumer insights to guide product direction, assortment planning, and long-term business growth.
Be part of something new
Based in Tønder, you’ll join a newly established team of colleagues dedicated to revitalising ECCO’s Outdoor category. Working closely with Design, R&D, and Category Management, you’ll help define and launch the next generation of outdoor footwear, combining data-driven insight with creativity and craftsmanship.
With access to ECCO’s in-house R&D and production facilities, you’ll have a rare opportunity to work hands-on with materials and innovation across the entire value chain. And you’ll contribute to a collaborative, data-informed and forward-thinking team culture and help shape ways of working as the team grows.
You shape ECCO’s outdoor collection from insights to assortment
As (Senior) Outdoor Category Specialist, you’ll be the link between consumer insight, product strategy, and go-to-market execution. Your work will help ensure ECCO’s outdoor collections reflect our commitment to performance, innovation, and craftsmanship.
You’ll analyse consumer and market data to shape the category strategy and build balanced assortments that support ECCO’s outdoor growth ambitions. You’ll be part of shaping line plans, product briefs and seasonal direction, and ensure alignment across functions throughout the development process.
Your responsibilities include:
- Translating insights into clear assortment strategies and category plans
- Collaborating with Design and R&D to define line plans, evaluate prototypes and review collections
- Managing lifecycle planning and supporting go-to-market preparations
- Driving cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain
- Mentoring colleagues and contributing to a strong, inclusive team culture
Within your first year, success means having defined a clear strategic direction for the outdoor category, delivered a well-balanced and insight-driven assortment, and established strong cross-functional ways of working. You’ll have contributed to building a collaborative team culture, supported the launch of new products, and helped position ECCO as a credible player in the outdoor space.
You’ll bring a strategic mindset and thrive where creativity meets structure
You enjoy translating data into clear strategies using a strong commercial mindset. Whether you’re already a senior specialist or growing into the role, we’re looking for someone who’s analytical, collaborative, and passionate about the outdoor consumer.
We imagine you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, economics or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in product management, merchandising or category management – ideally in outdoor, sport or footwear
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into assortment decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain
- Proficiency in PLM systems and product data tools, plus solid MS Office skills
- Familiarity with platforms like Power BI, EDITED, Euromonitor or GWI is a plus
- Fluency in English and confidence communicating across teams and cultures
If you don’t tick every box, we still encourage you to apply. We value potential and passion just as much as experience.
Are you ready to influence not just products but the future of ECCO’s outdoor category?
We will invite candidates into the process on an ongoing basis, so don’t hesitate to apply.
