Assistant Retail Manager

The role of the Assistant Retail Manager is to ensure the smooth daily operation of ECCO concept stores.

ECCO Shoes Singapore is seeking an Assistant Retail Manager to help oversee the efficiency of our sales floors. The Assistant Retail Manager will work alongside with the Retail Operations Manager and the Management team to provide full support to our frontline sales floor.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing opportunities for customers, and providing support to Sales Associates while working collaboratively with the business team. Behind the scenes, the Assistant Retail Manager will oversee inventory and visual merchandising, and be actively involved with building our sales team and providing them with the guidance and training necessary to provide exceptional service. The general responsibilities include:

  • Managing and ensuring stores reaches the sales target

  • Establishing optimum inventory at stores

  • Enhancing ECCO brand image through store VM and sales team grooming

  • Providing accurate and consistent communication to staff on VM, sales techniques, and customer service

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of stores

  • Ensuring sales team follows ECCO service standards and store SOPs are executed on the sales floor at all times

  • Lead, motivate, and manage retail sales team

    Our ideal candidate will have a retail management skills with a sharp business mindset and skilled at problem solving. Interpersonal and mediation skills will also be the key criteria for liaison between managers, employees and customers. Other requirements include:


  • Diploma or equivalent level

  • Minimum 4 years of retail experience with a minimum of 2 years as a Store-IC

  • Good spoken and written English. Knowledge of a local language is an advantage

  • Good coaching, teambuilding, and people management skills

  • Ability to drive performance within teams

  • Energetic and proactive. A motivating can-do attitude is required

  • Sales and customer oriented

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
