Do you have the skills to drive product compliance processes? And would you like a position where your voice is important in order to shape our compliance set-up, building an internal and external network?
Join our R&D department in Bredebro, where you will have a central role in driving technical compliance including focus on the Chinese market.
Together with 2 fellow compliance specialists, you will drive our product compliance agenda.
Whilst your colleagues focus on chemicals, labelling and other areas, you will focus on technical compliance, including physical requirements for our products.
Specifically, you will work to determine whether upcoming legislations apply to and affect our existing products and production processes. To accomplish this, you will:
- Perform regular investigations to understand current and new compliance legislations,
whether these are applicable for our products, and determine potential implementation
costs, risks, etc.
- Report to upper management and provide your expertise and recommendation to ensure
right decision making, and processes going forward.
- Support compliance implementation and strategic long-term projects through
collaboration with Production, R&D and other affected functions.
- Travel up to 30 days per year.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
You thrive with many colleagues and external stakeholders such as official bodies and are able to build and maintain good professional relations across borders and levels. You can spot the big picture of compliance and understand the ramifications of changes for colleagues and functions throughout the organization.
Making decisions comes naturally to you, and you always have an eye on the technical detail. You are therefore always attentive to communicate solutions and plans and to support any critical issue by suggesting innovative approaches. Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Have an academical background e.g. as a textile engineer.
- Preferably, have experience with compliance within product manufacturing e.g. shoe,
textile, apparel, toys, furniture industry or the like.
- Have solid experience with project management/processes optimization, and the ability
to drive processes that require extensive investigation and insight.
- Have an eye for the details and enjoy finding the essence in the sometimes complicated
and long term evaluation process without losing track.
- Are fluent in English, and preferably also Chinese - a good understanding of Chinese
culture would be a great advantage.
In this position, you will essentially have 2 roles – one as a technical compliance expert, and one as the main contact person between the Product Compliance team and our sales market China.
You will be a valued advisor to the company, providing the insights needed to make informed decisions by presenting facts in a practical and understandable way. At the same time, you will have the chance to effect decision making by providing your recommendations and opinions to upper management.
To accomplish this, we give you the freedom to pursue the required networking both internally and with global co-experts working on similar tasks.
Your continued personal and professional development is essential to us and we offer participation in internal and external courses, educations and conferences supporting this development.
