IT Sourcing Specialist

Do you want a job with a great deal of responsibility in a new team where you get to strongly influence how we handle vendor management? And are you looking for a place to develop your skill set and work in-depth with procurement?

“The increase of digitalisation entails greater demands for agile and flexible IT systems – again increasing the importance of contracts, which is where you come in” says Head of CIO Office, Marco Baasch.

Secure strategic procurement from A to Z
Based out of our HQ in Bredebro, you will be joining our Global IT department and specifically our CIO Office team. We are a fairly new team with 7 team members acting as the link between IT and business – more specifically, we support our IT division by managing our procurement, contracts, tenders, license management and budget follow-up.

As our new IT sourcing specialist, you will be stepping into a new role, giving you ample opportunity to contribute to shaping your tasks and workday. In a close cooperation with our IT contract and vendor manager, you will be responsible for all contract-related issues with our suppliers – more specifically, you will develop and carry out strategic procurement for the department from beginning to end.

In your new workday, you will:

  • Lead procurement processes and sourcing initiatives in IT
  • Prepare and evaluate procurement reports, including analysing suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including understanding their needs and balancing conflicting interests
  • Continuously secure the right suppliers, as well as identify new suppliers to optimise ECCO's TCO
  • Challenge existing processes and contribute with alternative options for the department

If you thrive in the intersection between IT, suppliers and our business, where you get to truly impact how we handle procurement, you have come to the right place” says Marco further.

Experience from purchasing – and excellent people skills
While you are great at chasing results and closing deals, you still have a calm attitude that exudes trust and professionalism. You further have a good analytical sense as well as a structured work approach, which will come in handy when working with a big set of contracts and suppliers.

Also, you are great with people, which means that building good relationships while standing your ground comes easy to you.

We also imagine that you:

  • Have a relevant master’s degree, e.g. within economics, law or engineering
  • Have some years of experience from a purchasing department in a larger company with complex strategic purchasing processes
  • May have experience with IT procurement, but this is not a requirement, as long as you have a good IT technical insight

Gain a central role in a central team
Your new job is in a friendly, professional team, where we value development and commitment – and also having fun along the way. Working in a newly established area, you will have the opportunity to greatly impact both how we do things as well as our culture.

Also, you can look forward to a role that is a binding link at the core of our business, enabling you to quickly gain a great network internally and externally.

Did we catch your attention?
