ECCO NextGen - Category Management, Denmark

Do you want to gain in-depth knowledge of Category Management? Want to continue learning, and develop personally and professionally? How about building an international network? And experiencing the ECCO world across multiple locations globally?
      ECCO is looking for an ambitious international NextGen (trainee) for a career track in our Category Management teams (Mens or Women’s division), a unique opportunity to kickstart their career in our global company. As a NextGen on this career track you will work in close collaboration with designers, R&D, production and Global Sales units, to develop and maintain a strong commercial collection. You will be a part of the development of the shoe collection, gain commercial insights and work on developing sales to meet our ambitious global growth plans for different product segments.
      Job Profile:
      • Be an integral part of the team involved in concept creation through to production and launch
      • Range selection including range building, planning and analysis
      • Support the collection development process in terms of segments, price set up, delivery windows, collection size, silhouettes and ongoing vs new segments
      • Involvement in HQ sales strategy and controlling, as well as Regional Sales operations
      • Work closely with Marketing (strategy, concept creation, go to market concepts, sell out material development, visual merchandising)
      • Involvement in financial aspects relating to the range/collection (controlling, reporting, price management)
      • Key international stakeholder management
      Qualifications and Work Experience:
      If you are our future ECCO NextGen, you
      • Have a minimum high school education up to Masters degree. A commercial/sales background is preferred
      • Must have relevant retail or wholesale experience, and a passion for retail and fashion
      • Can work independently, but also enjoy working in groups and leading the way if necessary. A desire to move into a leadership position beyond the programme is essential
      • Are a proven networker and relationship builder
      • Are quality oriented and results driven with proven problem solving skills
      • Thrive on challenges. You enjoy having many things to do at the same time and working in a regularly changing environment in an autonomous role
      • Possess a global mindset and are willing to not only travel during the programme, but be open to be based abroad in the mid to long term
      • Have excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of other languages is a distinct advantage. We are especially interested in Japanese, Korean and Chinese
