Merchandising Manager

Role Mission

Merchandising Manager is responsible for the management of all merchandising activities from getting the product from the suppliers into sales locations, develop effective merchandising strategies, provide information about collections, key stories to related functions. With the product assortment for each location, the Merchandising Manager supports the stores to help them reach their maximum sales potential. This role reports to Retail Director.

Key Accountabilities

This role will be responsible for – but not limited to –

  • Contribute to the buying assortment by store in Thailand. Create stock plan, OTB and place orders.
  • Monitor and analyze sales KPIs to propose consequent action plans including markdown
  • Manage inventory, allocation and consolidation
  • Develop the relationship with cross functional teams provide clear information of assortment to ensure correct product mix, display, collection stories being communicated to stores
  • Provide competitive information and market expertise to the team and share at the Regional level
  • Conduct in-store seasonal training in partnership with Training Manager for each collection
  • Conduct regular store visits to understand customer needs, drive business and provide important feedback
  • Set prices to ensure profitability and competitiveness
  • Manage cycle count and full inventory checks including stock reconciliation in ECCO’s internal system and SAP

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the management of buying activities, preferably within footwear, lifestyle or fashion industry
  • Advanced in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel
  • Experience within an international company with regional reporting lines, would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the retail environment and proven interaction with retail teams
  • In depth knowledge of the local marketplace and fashion trends
  • Effective leadership skills with drive, innovation and strong sense of urgency
  • Independent and resourceful with versatility and adaptability
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good command in English and analytical
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Good team player with proven ability to partner with business leaders
